Bring salads back to life with these tasty dressings

It’s never been easier to introduce something different to the dinner table with a little help from your favourite nudie juice.

Who knew that bottle of nudie in the fridge wasn’t just for drinking, but had the power to transform the taste of your next weeknight salad? Well, ok, we did, but that’s exactly why we couldn’t wait a second longer to share our fave nudie juice life hacks with you! Mmm, tasty, tasty, life hacks.

  • Orange vinaigrette

OK, let’s start with something super simple but super delicious! For this tangy but sweet vinaigrette, all you’ll need is can-do attitude and a handful of pantry staples!

    Ingredients
    – ¼ cup nudie nothing but orange juice
    – 2 teaspoons of honey
    – 2 tablespoons of balsamic vinegar
    – 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
    – 1 tablespoon of mustard (we prefer Dijon)
    – 1/8 teaspoon of cracked black pepper
    – + 1 jar (you don’t eat this… but you knew that already)

  • Method:
Grab your jar and pour in the orange juice, oil, honey, balsamic, mustard and as much pepper as you want (you don’t have to use as we’ve suggested, this one’s purely up to you and your tastebuds). Once everything’s been added, simply pop the lid on, give the jar a good shake and away you go! You can store this bad boy in the fridge for up to one whole week. Just make sure you shake it each time before you use it.

  • Apple juice vinaigrette

If you haven’t added apple juice to your salads yet, you’re in for a very pleasant surprise. Best of all, it’s extremely easy to make once you have all your ingredients lined up. Simply grab a bowl and let’s go!

    Ingredients
    – 2 teaspoons of nudie nothing but cloudy apple juice
    – 1 teaspoon of water
    – 1 teaspoon of lemon juice
    – 1 teaspoon of olive oil
    – 1 teaspoon of rice vinegar
    – 1/4 teaspoon of Dijon mustard
    – 1/4 teaspoon of sugar
    – 1/8 teaspoon of salt

  • Method:
Add all your ingredients to your bowl. Yep, it’s that easy… Once you’ve included everything, just start whisking until smooth! Of course, you can also do this with an immersion or stick blender. Once you’re happy with the consistency, grab your jar, transfer the dressing and pop it in the fridge. Again, this will store for up to a week, but it might get a bit solid while in the fridge. The best thing to do is let it warm on the kitchen bench for half an hour before you use it or pop the whole (closed) jar in a bowl of warm water to speed up the process. If you’ve never used this kind of dressing on a salad before and don’t know what kind of salad to make – we suggest going with some of our favourite combinations – sharp cheddar cheese, mixed greens, cut up pieces of apple and some yummy, crunchy walnuts!

  • Carrot and ginger dressing

Wanna add a little zing to your dinner? This carrot and ginger dressing certainly packs a delicious punch and best of all, it’s super light yet filled with creamy goodness. This dressing will go with just about any salad but is particularly tasty when paired with delicious Asian flavours.

    Ingredients
    – ¼ cup of nudie nothing but carrot juice
    – ⅓ cup of extra-virgin olive oil
    – ⅓ cup of rice vinegar
    – 2 tablespoons of chopped ginger (peel it first)
    – 2 tablespoons of lime juice
    – 1 ½ tablespoon of honey
    – ¼ teaspoon salt
    – 1 ½ teaspoons of toasted sesame oil

  • Method:
Because we’re working with solids like roughly-chopped ginger, you’ll want to use your blender or stick blender for this one. Once you’ve got everything set up, simply add in all the ingredients and combine these until super smooth and easy to pour. If you feel your salad needs a little more sweetness, feel free to add more honey as necessary. When you’re happy with your delicious creation, simply pop it in the fridge and enjoy over and over again.
