6 surprising ways to use orange juice

  • January 11, 2021

It’s no big secret that we’re bananas for oranges over here at nudie HQ. That’s why we’re super excited to share a few nifty ways you can make the most of your next bottle of nudie orange juice. If you’d rather chug-a-lug the entire bottle straight from the fridge though – go for it. We won’t tell!

  • 1. Freeze, Mr!

Got some orangey goodness to spare? Why not fill up your ice cube trays with the last of your juice and stick those bad boys in the freezer. Once frozen, you can use your cubes for some extra zest in smoothies, soda, mineral water – or even champagne!

  • 2. Elevate your scrambled eggs

OK, here us out – adding a splish-splash of orange juice to your morning eggs is a totally ingenious idea that gives your breakfast a little sweet touch. If you’re going to give this idea a go, opt for an orange juice without pulp. Otherwise, things might get a little chunky.

  • 3. Making a good thing great

Speaking of adding orange juice to your breakfast favourites, we swear this next suggestion is a winner. If you love your bacon, give it the magic orange touch by glazing each strip in your fave nudie orange juice with a simple touch of honey. Your tastebuds will thank us later.

  • 4. Get your mocktail on

Summer is nearly here, and we are ready to celebrate with a few delicious drinks or two. If you’re after something sweet that will also help keep you cool and refreshed, might we suggest the Shine Bright mocktail? All you need is one cup of orange juice, a teaspoon of vanilla extract, a scoop of vanilla vegan ice cream and four tablespoons of milk (yes, we’re talking about mixing orange juice with milk here, people). Pop everything into a blender, add some ice and away you go! If the mixture is too thick, just add some more juice or even water will do.

  • 5. Ice, ice, baby

Who knew making your own ice blocks could be so simple? All you need is an ice block freezer mold, some ice block sticks, your fave nudie nothing but orange juice and 1/3 cups of vanilla bean. Mix your ingredients into a measuring cup and then pour this into each mold. Add in the sticks and send those delicious treats to the freezer!

  • 6. Bake the day away

Looking for a way to change up your cake-making game? Try adding orange juice to your homemade baking recipes instead of water. It works a treat! Just sub out the water for juice, cup for cup! So simple even the cat could do it.
